MODERATOR

Moderation allows content on the board to be controlled. A moderator of a forum may edit, delete, split, or move topics in that forum. A moderator may also edit or delete any post in a topic in that forum. A board administrator automatically has moderator permissions to every forum on the board.

Moderator permissions for a specific forum may also be granted to a user who wishes to be responsible for a forum. At this time, no users have been given moderator permissions. At the present time, the Ripples Across The Years administrator is the only person with moderator permissions.

Moderator actions will be taken only when it is deemed necessary to maintain the integrity of the boards.

MOVING A TOPIC - If a topic is posted in an inappropriate forum or category, it may be moved to the appropriate category/forum.

DELETING A TOPIC - If a topic is inappropriate for these boards, it will be deleted. This will occur only if someone posts a topic that has nothing to do with the Ripples Across The Years families or violates the provisions of the Registration Agreement or Privacy Agreement.

EDITING A TOPIC - If the subject/title of a topic is inappropriately configured, it may be changed to make it conform to the guidelines for the board. This will be done only to make it easier for people to identify the true subject of a topic.

MOVING A POST - If a post is placed in an inappropriate topic, it may be moved to the appropriate topic, Other posts within the topic will be unaffected.

EDITING A POST - If a post contains language that is inappropriate for this board, it may be edited to remove/alter that language.

DELETING A POST - A post may be deleted if it is deemed to be inappropriate for this board; meaning it has nothing to do with the Ripples Across The Yearsfamilies or violates the provisions of the Registration Agreement or Privacy Agreement.

LOCKING A TOPIC - Should a topic become obsolete or unwieldly in size, it may be locked so that no more posts may be made to it.
