You may 'subscribe' to a topic on the board. When a topic you have 'subscribed' to is replied to, an email will be sent to the email address that your username is registered to. The email will contain a link to the topic that has been replied to. You will receive only one email per topic until the next time you log in to the board. To subscribe to a topic, look at the lower left corner of the View Topic page. Click the small Watch this topic for replies link. Alternatively, if you post or reply to a topic, you may check Notify me when a reply is posted. To unsubscribe from a topic, look at the lower left corner of the View Topic page. Click the small Stop watching this topic link. Alternatively, you may look at your notification email. At the end of the email there is a link that will unsubscribe you from the topic. You may subscribe to as many topics as you wish.
Each Category which corresponds to one of the Ripples Across The Years websites, has an UPDATES forum. Within this forum are two "Announcement" type topics - GENERAL UPDATES and STORYBOARD UPDATES. GENERAL UPDATES is used for notifications of all general updates to the indicated website. General updates are updates that are specific to the indicated website but do not include updates to the StoryBoard. Only the administrator/moderator may post notifications to this topic as only the administrator/moderator may make these types of updates. This topic corresponds to the old Update Lists. STORYBOARD UPDATES is used for notifications of all additions/updates to the StoryBoard that may be of interest to those interested in the indicated website. All users may add to and/or update the StoryBoard, therefore all users may post notifications to this topic. We recommend you subscribe to both of these topics for each of the Ripples Across The Years sites that interest you. Each Category, including the GENERAL category, has an ANNOUNCEMENT forum. All users may post to these forums.
